On the eve of the Start of Winter on 7th November, the sun is still shining and the flowers are blooming. Teacher Zhou Ting from the Art Group of the Primary School Division led the sixth grade students to carry out an art sketching class on campus to go to a romantic ‘painting’ of the brushes and the autumn tail, recording the encounter between the sunny moment and art.
Specifically, in the process of sketching, students learnt to observe the shapes of the flowers first, felt the changes in the size and shade of plant leaves, and drew the outlines of flowers and the textures of leaves with vivid curves, thus shaping the rhythm of the pictures, and training students' ability to draw and outline.
To put it in a nutshell, Sukhomlinsky once said, ‘To let the students experience the emotion of taking part in the mastery of knowledge is an important condition for arousing the special interest in knowledge of the youth.’ Therefore, allowing students to go out of the classroom and experience knowledge outside the classroom not only enriches students' sensory experience, but also increases their initiative and creativity in painting.
